19 Sep “Metropolitan and city-regional politics in the urban age: why does ‘(smart) devolution’ matter?” article published in open access by the journal Palgrave Communications

This journal article aims to point out the timely relevance of devolution as a matter that should be considered in the politics of the urban age. Three cases are particularly compared and analysed from the point of view of metropolitanisation and how this has affected seriously and fueled city-regional responses as we have recently seen in Catalonia and Barcelona. The other two cases are: Glasgow in Scotland and Bilbao in the Basque Country.
