After the clear outcome of the General Elections in December 2019, Dr Calzada, as an academic of the University of Oxford, gave a brief analysis of the social context after the effective Brexit outcome for the Basque TV. In this analysis, he emphasized the irreversible nature of the phenomenon and the aftermath for the UK in terms of the potential fragmentation of the the Union. Particularly he referred to the cases of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
